What method would make a timber water proof best other than paint

l am making a home of timber logs. Want the bathroom to be water resistant.

Mind you, this is tropical country.Do not wanna use paint.

Check out Linseed Oil to condition the wood. I have used this  
Beans
in painting houses on raw wood on the exterior, then we painted over it

with Kilz and then paint. This was a very moldy area we were preparing.

Use wood that is already rot and insect resistant like teak,

I've lived in the tropics for a couple of years in two different countries

and no one builds out of wood. It is not because of water rot, but because

might make a shed/house out of wood but they know they will have to rebuild
